Argentina Citizenship by Investment Requirements

The October 2, 2026 announcement states a $350,000 non-refundable National Treasury contribution or an $800,000 subscription to a public bond created for the program. Decree 524/2025 assigns a relevant investment to the Ministry of Economy and does not itself set those amounts. Government applications are not yet confirmed as open. The government expects the application process to become operational during Q4 2026. No exact filing date has been announced.

DNU 366/2025 created APCI within the amended citizenship framework. Decree 524/2025 subsequently established a basic application and review procedure involving APCI. Decree 524/2025 did not create APCI.

The announced routes are a Treasury contribution and a program-specific public bond. The announcement does not identify real estate, a business, or a fund as that route. These announced terms are not a guarantee of approval. The October 2 announcement is the first-party summary. Current status is on the program status page.

U.S. applicants should also review Argentina citizenship by investment for Americans.

Announced amounts

A principal applicant has two announced financial routes: a $350,000 National Treasury contribution, or an $800,000 public-bond subscription. The announcement gives a $500,000 example for a principal applicant, a spouse, and two children under 18 using the contribution route.

Family Treasury contributions announced on the same date are $100,000 for a spouse, $100,000 for a qualifying child age 18 to 25, and $25,000 for a child under 18. The 18-to-25 category has announced conditions, including being unmarried and without children of their own. Those amounts do not mean every family member qualifies. Decree 524/2025 itself does not set these family figures.

Qualifying routes

The October 2 announcement states a Treasury contribution and a public-bond route. It does not establish that real estate, a business, or a fund qualifies or disqualifies.

Figures that are not an application cap

This page does not state 5,000 as an application cap. Reports have cited COMPR.AR for a claim that Ministry of Economy Resolution 522/2026 left tender 34-0001-CPU25 without effect. Gazette publication of that resolution was not located, so this site does not state that cancellation as an established fact.

The decrees do not specify a biometrics rule for investor applicants.

Procedure rules

Article 6 of Decree 524/2025 tells APCI to issue complementary procedure rules. The October 2 announcement states financial terms and an expected Q4 2026 operational window. It does not confirm that government applications are open.
